The Darwin Jawfish is a unique fish very rarely seen in the hobby. The Darwin Jawfish is tan in color with a delicate brown patterning along its body and yellow tones along it's fins.

Darwin Jawfish can grow up to 18 inches (ours are only 4 inches) and need to be housed in a large aquarium with plenty of thick substrate for them to burrow. Correctly placed PVC can also serve as a den for these fish.

Darwin Jawfish are considered reef safe and should not bother other fish, coral or inverts provided it's tankmates are large enough. You should not keep multiple Darwin Jawfish together or they can become territorial and aggressive to each other.

The Darwin Jawfish is a carnivore and needs a diet rich in meaty foods. You should offer foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, meaty frozen foods and feeder shrimp to keep them healthy and flourish in your tank.
